About me
I attended Azle High School and have lived in the Fort Worth area all my life. I cannot imagine living anywhere else! After I graduated high school, I went o the University of Texas at Arlington. After many projects, tests, observation hours and study groups, I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies aka Education.
I married Phillip Keaton in May 2011 and we welcomed our first son, Charlie in April 2013. In 2018, we welcomed our twin girls, Katelynn and Emory. Our family is not complete without mentioning our adorable dogs, Jack & Jill. I look forward to learning about each young lady that walks in my classroom and having tons of fun as we explore U.S. History! |
Why History?I love HISTORY!! Doesn't matter if it is Texas, U.S. or World History. When we learn about our past and where we come from, we are simply storytelling. I would even say at times we are gossiping about the leaders of our country!
Learning from the past is extremely important. The saying, "History repeats itself" is so true. We can see patterns of segregation, presecution and dumb mistakes in everyone's history. As future leaders of our world, you need to know what happened so that you can avoid letting it happen again. History can repeat itself but we can create a different outcome that is better than before. |
